Please read this carefully!

These are the terms under which Customers can use the carboss.ng and the online content/service available on the site.‎

These terms and conditions were last updated on 10th November, 2016. CarBoss may change or withdraw any part of carboss.ng website at any time and may also change the terms and conditions with or without notice to you.

If you do not agree with the T&Cs, you should not use the carboss.ng site or any of its services.‎ Please contact info@carboss.ng should you have further questions.



Section A - REGISTRATION/ENROLMENT

There are no strict requirements compelling Customers to register‎ on the CarBoss Portal as they are allowed to subscribe to AutoCare alerts, newsletters and are able to buy Oil Service kits. Customers registration is however required to access virtual diagnosis service, for booking service appointments and to access the CarBoss Loyalty Rewardz page.

Customers are expected to simply provide valid email addresses and mobile phone number during registration process or when subscribing to AutoCare Trial/Premium service on the CarBoss portal.
‎Verification of mobile number is a key requirement during the registration process to minimize wrongful registration or identity theft. A one-time SMS token is sent to the registered mobile phone number as a means of verifying the mobile number and MUST be entered correctly to complete the registration process.

The use of strong password is highly recommended for security reasons. Customers are advised to keep password secret at all times to guard against unauthorized access to their CarBoss and Loyalty account. We will never request that you disclose your password. We are not liable for any loss you may suffer if you have not kept your password secret or should you decide to share your password with someone else. Customers are advised to always log out after every session on CarBoss portal.

CarBoss will not sell, distribute or lease your personal information to third parties unless your permission is sought or are required by law to do so. Furthermore, your personal detail is securely available with our Loyalty partner to enable us reward your patronage from time to time.


Section B - AUTOCARE SUBSCRIPTION, DIAGNOSIS & APPOINTMENT

Network condition by the GSM providers may occasionally impact timely delivery of messages. CarBoss approach includes the use of both SMS and Email channels as a means of delivering content to guard against poor networks or situations when Customers are temporarily out of data bundle.

For our AutoCare Trial service, 5 Days of free content is activated immediately a Customer enters a valid verification token. Trial service is disabled on the sixth day. AutoCare Trial Customers are allowed to upgrade to any of our premium subscription plans during or at the end of the trial period.

CarBoss subscription bouquet includes 3 months (90 days), 6 months (180 days) and 1 year (365 days). Our plans are affordable, bundled with other services such as virtual diagnosis and have an embedded discount structure when Customers subscribe to long-term plans.

Successful subscription to any of our premium AutoCare Tips will automatically trigger daily delivery of SMS and Email content until the expiration of the subscription period.‎ You may reach out to us should you wish to unsubscribe from either of the service alert channel.

CarBoss contact mobile number is 0809 757 7777. Please IGNORE calls from any other mobile number claiming to be our representatives or soliciting for information or requesting that you provide/change your account details!

Our team of Mechanics strives to provide the best chatting experience and will respond promptly to chatting requests. But please bear with us should you experience delays due to network availability or call queue due to high chat traffic volume. We promise to always get back to you once free!

Our primary payment instrument is enabled via Interswitch. Security whilst on our site means a lot to us and the highest form of encryption through the use of SSL is activated to protect your personal and payment parameters. Never disclose your PIN to a 3rd Party. CarBoss will never send email or SMS requesting our Customers to share their PIN details.

‎To enable our business deliver best-in-class service, our payment model at the moment partly supports payment on delivery for physical goods in select locations but we are confident, working with our partners, that payment on delivery will be fully live across other cities sometime in Q2, 2017.

For convenience, awareness, education and information purposes, CarBoss has provided a rich content library to drive its virtual d‎iagnosis service and we state here that it should NOT for any reason be used by Customers to perform DIY (Do-it-Yourself) repairs. Our mission is to ensure that car owners/users enjoy bespoke services delivered by certified and well trained mechanics in well-equipped workshops or service centres. CarBoss is not liable for any unintended consequences (property damage, cost, bodily harm, injury, loss e.t.c) that may arise should Customer decide to embark on DIY repairs that are beyond them.
For Service Appointment Booking, third-party service providers, including contractors and workshops, that participate via our portal aren't affiliated with us, and we and our directors, officers, employees and agents aren't responsible for, and you release us from, any liability arising in connection with products and services provided by those third-party service providers.

As part of our mission to promote the use of genuine service kits, Customer can purchase Engine Oil and Oil Service kits on the CarBoss Portal. At the moment, the service is only enabled for Customers in Lagos, Ibadan, Abeokuta, Abuja and PH. Rollout is scheduled to commence in other states as from Q2, 2017. CarBoss Oil Service Kit purchase algorithm uses vehicle information to determine the applicable Engine Oil and Filter to be placed in your shopping cart. Therefore, Customers are required to confirm the correctness of vehicle information provided during the checkout process to prevent shipment of wron‎g service kits to our customers.

‎In the event of wrong service kits being delivered due to Customer related errors during the ordering process, rather than proceeding with using the wrong service kits for your vehicle, we encourage Customers to immediately notify us. While CarBoss will try it's best to rectify the customer error, please note that replacement is subject to stock availability and additional charges may be incurred due to price differential or due to shipping cost charged to deliver revised order.



Section C – SHIPPING AND VAT

Delivery of goods is done within 24 hours - 48 Hours for orders within Lagos State subject to payment verification by our Bank. For customers in other states, orders are delivered within 48 - 72 Hours.
Value Added Tax at the rate of 5% is charges on goods bought on carboss.ng website. Refunds processing policy dictates that should you be entitled to a refund for any reason, such refund shall in the case of payments having been made by debit card shall be paid into your bank account subject to confirmation of your identity. We are unable to process into any 3rd Party account.



Section D – CarBoss LOYALTY REWARDz PROGRAM

These Terms and Conditions govern your participation in the CarBossRewardz Program (the “Program”). The Program is offered by Carboss Technologies Limited
We may revise or terminate the Program or any portion thereof on at any possible time and without prior notification and if we terminate the Program, you will have 60 days from the Program termination date to redeem your accumulated Loyalty Rewards Points (“Point(s)”). However, we may change or substitute rewards, as well as adjust Point levels at any time without prior notification.

  • Earning and Accumulating Loyalty Points 

Once you enrol in the Program, you will earn points for every Naira spent on the following;

  • AutoCare Subscription
  • Buying Engine Oil or Oil Change Kit
  • Booking Appointments (Car Wash, Oil Change, Wheels and Car Scanning)
  • Emergency Recover Service
  • Insurance

Loyalty Points are allocated on the basis of higher value transactions get to earn more loyalty points. Determination of loyalty point tiers is at our sole discretion. Please note that awarded points may vary per transaction type in the course of the loyalty cycle. Points earned from repeat transactions are immediately aggregated and added to your initial point balance thereby resulting in a new point balance.

  • Loyalty Milestones

As points are continuously accrued in the course of the loyalty journey, milestones are attained and you may qualify for instant Airtime cash-back voucher rewards or other rewards as determined by us. Furthermore, booster points may also be included as part of your reward for attaining a specific milestone. In such cases, booster points may be added to your main point balance. However, you may please note that the reward at milestone is ONLY conditional on the accumulated points and individual transaction point may or may not trigger milestone rewards.

  • Exchange Loyalty Points For Gift Vouchers

Customers are allowed to exchange loyalty point by selecting from a range of Gift Voucher denominations on Carboss portal. Loyalty point exchange is subject to a Naira conversion rate which is solely determined by us. You must have sufficient point balance to cover the exchange being requested. And, converted Gift Vouchers expire 365 Days from issue date and MUST be redeemed within that time frame at any of our redemption partners website or store nationwide. Please note that Loyalty points are not transferable from person to person or from one account holder to another account holder. Reward Points will generally be available for redemption within the billing cycle/loyalty cycle for which such eligible transactions have occurred.

Loyalty Points and rewards have no cash value and may not be assigned or pledged to any third party. Points may not be transferred upon death or as part of domestic relations proceedings. Rewards are considered fully redeemed once issued.

Lost, stolen, expired or otherwise destroyed rewards including certificates, gift vouchers, merchandise or other documents are not re-issuable or replaceable. No change or credit will be issued for unused portions of rewards, unless otherwise advised. Loyalty Points and/or rewards may not be combined with any other discounts, special rates, or promotions including other promotional or discount programs unless otherwise indicated at the time of Point redemption. Rewards may not be redeemed for cash. To redeem your rewards, follow instructions in the Program materials provided to you from time to time.

  • Referral – Refer & Earn Points

Subscribers must have points greater than zero to refer Family and Friends. Party B (Referred Entity) must be previously unregistered and previously inactive (no transactions) for Party A (Referring Entity) to earn referral point. To complete the referral process, Party A is required to enter a valid email address of Party B while Party B is required to use the link for his/her registration. Referral points are awarded once Party B completes a valid loyalty enabled transaction such as AutoCare subscription, buying Engine oil or booking service appointment. Referral points awarded are at the sole discretion of CTL and may vary from time to time.

  • Games/Contests and Campaigns

Winning tickets expire 365 Days from date of contests won. Failure to redeem winnings within this time frame results in loss of winnings. Entry criteria may vary from game/campaign to game/campaign. Certain game prizes are locked to specific redemption merchants. Redemption service is available via self-service only and customers must enter valid details as well as applying correct OTP (token) to conclude the redemption process. Campaigns are advertised on social media and via SMS broadcasts. Winners cannot participate in contests in which they won previously until after 15 days.

Qualifying criteria must be met in order for an enrolled customer to be able to participate in games/campaigns. Winner of rewards would receive instant onscreen and email notification upon confirmation of winning entries. Prize redemption is conditional upon presentation of the automated winning tickets. As a form of publicity, winners agree to have their names announced on TV/Radio programmes and published in both traditional print and electronic media, inclusive of social media. Our determination of games/contest winners will be final and CarBoss Rewardz/CTL reserves the right to contact only customers with winning codes. Non cash prize is not redeemable for cash or transferable. Customers participates in our games/contests at his/her own risk and indemnifies CTL in respect of any claim for any accident, injury, property damage or loss of life that may occur in connection with the games/contests. Where cash prizes are specified, such cash prizes are inclusive of VAT at the current rate and winners are liable for such taxes or other cost that may be associated with the winning prize.

We reserve the right to vary, modify, extend or stop our games, contest and campaigns at any stage with or without notice. CTL takes no liability for contest participants’ inability to play or conclude the game/contest/campaigns due to faulty equipment, GSM Network disturbances, poor or slow data connection, unsent SMS, data disconnection, wrongly entered keywords and/or incorrect game access codes. Customers are responsible for Network, SMS and data related charges.

  • Redemption

Customers have the flexibility to choose own rewards from amongst an array of accredited redemption partners when redeeming their gift vouchers. Rewards earned in the www.carboss.ng loyalty programme may be in either electronic form or physical goods. Rewards in electronic form require no shipping while rewards in physical form attract shipping charges that would be paid by the Enrolled winning account owner. Certain game prizes and campaigns winnings are locked to specific redemption merchants. For example, an airtime voucher cannot be redeemed for movie tickets.

Points accumulated in the course of the loyalty programme cannot be transferred. Customers are therefore advised to exchange all point balances for gift voucher before the terminal date of 31st December. However, rollover of accumulated points balance is available for maximum of 15 days grace period i.e 15th January. Unused point balance is cleared after the grace period i.e 16th January. Do note that membership status is retained regardless of account balances being cleared.

Airtime cash-back voucher received at milestone crossing can only be redeemed by the registered mobile phone. Weekly Top 10 customers and customer of the month are notified via phone call on a weekly/monthly basis by our contact centre agents.

Delivery charges are applicable to only physical goods being delivered to enrolled winning account owner. Unless otherwise indicated at the time of redemption, all rewards will be sent to the address associated/as provided by account owner. Delivery of rewards may not be made outside Nigeria or to a post office box. We, our affiliates and any merchants or vendors participating in the CarBoss Rewardz Program make no guarantees, warranties or representations of any kind concerning the rewards. The Program and/or any of its individual elements including rewards are void where prohibited by Federal, State, or Local laws and regulations and are subject to change as may be necessary to comply with such laws or regulations. You release us, our affiliates and representatives, and any merchants or vendors participating in the Program from all liability regarding the redemption and use of rewards, including any rewards that may be lost, stolen or destroyed or a travel provider’s provision or failure to provide services for any reason. Furthermore  CarBoss will not be responsible or otherwise liable to Accountholders, or others, for any act, error, omission, injury, loss, accident, damage, delay, non-performance, irregularity, strike, insolvency, grounding or other event caused by, relating to, or otherwise involving Rewards Suppliers or the products or services thereof, or for any direct, indirect, special, consequential or punitive damages resulting there from.

  • Reward Point Expiration

Points accrued in your Enrolled Account will be carried forward until they expire. Points expire by 31st December every year. For example, customer that enrolled in the month of September and with reward points awarded from September 1, 2010 will have their loyalty account balance expire on 31st December, 2010, unless we terminate the Program in which case you will have only 30 days from the Program termination date to redeem any earned Points. If you cancel your enrolment in the Program, any unredeemed Points shall be forfeited immediately upon cancellation. If you have enough Points to be eligible for a reward, you must request the reward prior to giving us notice of the cancellation. There are no exchanges or refunds for unused Points.

 

  • Indemnity. You agree to indemnify us and our third-party service providers, and all of our and their respective affiliates, directors, officers, employees, agents and contractors, and hold us and them harmless from and against any loss, damage, liability, cost or expense of any kind (including attorneys' fees) arising from our or an authorized user's use of the Program, any fraud, misuse or abuse of the Program, violation of this Agreement and/or violation of any applicable law or the rights of any third party.
  • Limitation on Liability. You release us, our third-party service providers, and our  respective affiliates, directors, officers, employees, agents and contractors, for your participation in the Program, including in connection with earning Points, redeeming Points for Rewards and using Rewards, the expiration and forfeiture of Points and changes to or cancellation of the Program. The third-party service providers, including merchants and contractors, that participate in the Program aren't affiliated with us, and we and our affiliates, directors, officers, employees and agents aren't responsible for, and you release us from, any liability arising in connection with products and services provided by those third-party service providers, including Rewards and/or any such services provided in connection with Rewards, such as delivery or servicing.
  • Void Where Prohibited by Law. The Program and/or any feature of the Program are void where prohibited by federal, state or local law or regulation and are subject to change as necessary to comply with law or regulation.
  • Notices and Communications. We may send communications about the Program to you at any mailing or email address on our records or through our online services. You agree that we (and/or our service providers or anyone we authorize) may contact you at any phone number, email address or mailing address you provide or we obtain in other ways. This includes communications to mobile, cellular/wireless, or similar devices. We may contact you by live operator, auto-dialler, recorded or artificial voice, text or email. You agree to pay any charges from your plan provider for communications you send to us.
